The kitchen aid is absolutely worth the investment . I have one myself with many of the attachments . However purchase the disk shredder attachment and not the cylinder style . I had problems with the cylinder one and it was not very good at it's job . The disk one is fantastic and if you are shredding cabbage it's a dream come true .
